Yuudai Chiba (千葉 雄大 Chiba Yūdai) is the best friend of Shinya Satou who is in class 6-3 at Kamohashi Elementary.

He has short black hair and thick eyebrows. His eyes often appear to be closed. His clothes usually have some sort of sexual innuendo on them, such as a cap with a "69" on it, which he always wears; a shirt with "erection" written on it, and a jacket with the letter "H" (ecchi) on it.

Personality and Interests

Chiba is very interested in sex. He admits to being a pervert, although in the manga he is usually described as an "extremely healthy boy" for his behavior. He often invents techniques for harassing girls, although they usually don't work well in execution. In season 2, he tells Satou that, in reality, his primary motivation is to embarrass girls and not to see them naked.

Shinya Satou

Chiba and Satou are best friends. Even so, Chiba is jealous of Satou's popularity with girls and likes to mess with him, while Satou is frequently annoyed by Chiba's antics.. He believes that Satou is just as much a pervert as he is, but he gets away with it because of his good looks.

Futaba Marui is sort of like a friend of Chiba.

Etymology

• The name Yuudai means "hero, manly" (雄) (yuu) and "big, great" (大) (dai).
• Yuudai's surname Chiba means "thousand" (千) (chi) and "leaf" (葉) (ha/ba).

Trivia

• During the title sequence of the first series, Chiba is standing behind Hitoha Marui during the dance, and when he catches a glimpse of the erotic book she’s reading, he suffers a spontaneous explosive nosebleed.
  • This even has a sound effect in episode 7.
• In a readers poll celebrating 300 issues of Mitsudomoe, Chiba came in 13th, the highest of all the boys.
• His eyes are closed like his mom, Kazumi Chiba.
• When he's doing something or about to do something perverted, his eyes open and flash yellow.
• Sometimes his eyes are a straight line with half circles bellow the line.
• It is rarely shown that his eyes are open when he is shocked. Rarely his eyes becomes normal like any other of his classmates but rarely shown. His eyes are color grey.
